Frequently Asked Questions

Please wear clothing that is comfortable and easy to move in. Its best to wear shoes with softer soles, or dress shoes. Sneakers/Gym shoes can stick to the floor and inhibit movement.
Otherwise, wear something you feel good in!
What should I wear?
Wow, what a great question! It truly differs from person to person, couple to couple. The first lesson is designed to evaluate your movement, rhythm, and flexibility. At Loveland Dance, we will work to understand your goals, and move towards your shining dance moments!
How many lessons will it take to be good?
Depends on your goals! If you are prepping for a wedding or special event where you will take the spotlight, we can ABSOLUTELY create and memorize some choreo!
For social dancing however, it is not needed! We will give you several basic steps for each dance style, and as you learn, add on more challenging and fancier moves!!
Is there choreography?
Absolutely! We are able to recommend several trusted teachers and studios to reach those goals. At Loveland Dance, we focus on the core elements of dance, and how to do those in a social setting, and do not offer lessons structured towards competition.
